Greg Abbas Fred Abbas Hunting and fishing has been a way of life for Co-Hosts Fred and Greg Abbas. Fred, (Michigan's #1 all time trophy whitetail hunter with the most record book entries), introduced Greg to the great outdoors at a very young age. Greg is an honest, sincere, down to earth host who people respect and relate to very well. He is a six time Michigan State Turkey Calling Champion, a two time Deer Calling and Rattling Champion, and a professional full time guide with numerous trophy deer and turkey entries in the record books. He and his father create their own cutting edge hunting tactics that they have shared with the public through their hunting videos and their nationally given seminars for years and share their hunting knowledge with the viewers through their many on hunt tips and game plans. A-Way Outdoors takes the viewer on exciting over the shoulder hunting and fishing adventures from across the U.S., Canada and Africa.

Greg’s daughter Alyssa (the crossbow queen) goes on her first whitetail hunt using a crossbow. Will she be successful? We then travel to Virginia to do some civil war metal detecting on private land near the Chancellorsville battlefield. Airs Week of January 2nd & April 2nd Episode 2 Turkey Calling Tips & Turkey Hunting with Greg Abbas Get out your turkey calls and follow along as host Greg Abbas, 6 time Michigan state turkey calling champion give turkey calling pointers. He then takes you into a woods for a “classic” turkey hunt. Airs Week of January 9th & April 9th Episode 3 Trophy whitetail hunting in Kansas with Homerun Outfitters This week we join Fred and Greg Abbas as they travel to Dorothy’s neck of the woods to chase trophy whitetail with muzzeloaders. Watch as Greg has an opportunity to harvest the biggest buck of his life. Will he succeed? We then join co-host Fred Abbas in the field as he attempts to hunt and film his own turkey hunt. Will he succeed? Airs Week of February 6th & May 7th Episode 7 Turkey tips part 2 & Kim and Alyssa’s turkey hunts Join Greg in part 2 as he reveals his turkey hunting secrets. We then join Kim Abbas and their daughter Alyssa, the crossbow queen as she tries to harvest her first turkey. Will the ladies keep pace with the guys??? Airs Week of February 13th & May 14th Episode 8 Manitoba Moose hunt with Fox River Outfitters It's fall and the rutting season is for the mighty moose. Chasing and filming these mighty monsters can be challenging from a river system. Will team A-Way be successful? Airs Week of February 20th & May 21st Episode 9 Bowhunting turkey and fishing at Saskatchewan’s Lloyd Lake Lodge Hunting turkey with a gun is challenging by itself, but with a bow??? Watch as pro-staff member Greg Ware attempts this feat. We then join Fred and Greg Abbas at Saskatchewan’s Lloyd Lake Lodge as they go after world class Northern Pike and tease us with a walleye shore lunch. Airs Week of February 27th & May 28th Episode 10 Michigan bear hunt and Diggin In Virginia part 1 metal detecting Watch the same archery bear hunting footage that A-Way watched when considering Jamie McCallister’s pro-staff application. Will Jamie make the grade? We then travel to Virginia to do some metal detecting at a civil war winter camp that housed over 10,000 troops. Airs week of March 5th & June 4th Episode 11 Neil’s Michigan turkey hunt and Diggin In Virginia Part 2 Join staff member Neil Berthume as tries to catch up with a wise Michigan gobbler. We then join Fred and Greg in the field while they metal detect a large civil war winter camp in this part 2 adventure. Airs Week of March 12th & June 11th Episode 12 Illinois whitetail hunting, Michigan Salmon Fishing & Beach metal detecting Join staff members Jamie McCallister and Greg Ware as they travel to Illinois in search of some early season whitetails. The boys will certainly see them, but will the big boys elude them? Fish on! We then join hosts Fred and Greg on a Lake Michigan salmon fishing trip with Killin Time 3 Charters. Just who will haul in the biggest catch? Then we are off on a hunt of a different kind. The guys metal detect the sandy beaches of Manistee Michigan. Will they strike it rich? Airs Week of March 19th & June 18th Episode 13 Michigan turkey hunt w/ Tracey Balowski & What to do with your hunting invention? This week we find ourselves following along with A-Way pro staff member Tracey Balowski as she matches wits with an educated gobbler. Who will school who? Then we join Greg Abbas, hunting invention consultant as he gives tips on avoiding the many pit falls that await the unsuspecting inventor.
