Invention Consulting Service

It's not a matter of IF somebody is going to come up with your same idea, it's a matter of when. Don't be a person that says, "I thought of that idea years ago, and now that other guy is selling a ton of them!"

We at A-Way Hunting Products have been through the whole process of  Inventing, Patenting, Licensing, Trade Marking, Patent Insurance, Advertising, Sales and Marketing. Our company is known for its hunting inventions and patents. This is how we made our name and continue to thrive in this economy. We can help steer you in the right direction with your invention from beginning to end. We can help from the idea stage to the final selling stage. We have been in the hunting business since 1991 and specialize in this particular area.

FIRST - Do not sell your invention, do not offer to sell your invention, do not publish anything on your invention, do not put the invention into the public domain, and do not use the invention in the public domain until you have talked to a patent attorney. If you do any one of these things, you only have one year to get a patent application on file.

There is much to consider:

Will your idea sell?

How can you find out?

How much are people willing to pay for your goods?

Did you know that friends and family are not a good guage?

Should you pursue a patent? If so which kind? Who should you deal with?

Did you know that you have one year to file a patent from the time you show your idea in a public domain of any kind?

Do you have a proto-type or do you need one made?

Do you need a name trade marked?

Do you need patent or liability insurance?

Do you have a non-disclosure form made up?

How and where will you manufacture your product?

We can source your product to Asia if needed and bring it to your door step.

What should the price structure be for distributor, chain store, buying group, dealer and retail?

Who will rep your product to all  of the above?

Are you familiar with the trade shows, consumer shows and buying groups?

Will the big chains stores even consider you and your product?

How will you get the word out?

Who will do your press releases and distribute them to the various magazines?

Do you know any outdoor writers?

How will you advertise your invention?

Who will do your hunting ad artwork?

Should you license your idea to an established company instead? If so who should you deal with? What percentage can you expect?

Most critical errors and/or idea theft can occur at the idea stage when the inventor prematurely contacts companies to partner up with, without having proper knowledge of the process.

The above questions can be overwhelming. We at A-Way Hunting Products can help you with all of the above questions and steer you in the right direction at an affordable price.

WE WILL FIRST SIGN A NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT so you can freely talk about your invention. We will advise you on the pros, cons and risks. From there you can make more informed decisions.

The initial consultation covers A LOT of areas, most likely all of your questions and a great many you never even thought of! You will walk away with a step by step game plan with several other options to follow as well. You will have a CLEAR organized path on what you need to do and how to do it, and have several back up plans as well! Whether you want to market your idea yourself, or deal with an established company or multiple companies, it will be covered like a blanket in the consultation. Don't be overwhelmed, let us show you the way.

Most consultations are done over the phone but you are always welcome to meet in person as well.

Testimonials:

Carl Dast and Mike Sias    -      Central Michigan

"I feel that you have given me the direction and inspiration that I needed to get the "StrikerMate" project going in the right direction". - Russ Koxlien Wisconsin

"I was happy and it set the stage of pursuit". - David Reicosky, Okemos, Michigan

Consulting Cost:

Only $300.00 for up to a 2 hour consultation. In most cases you will have all the information you need from the initial consultation to get you started on the right path. There are no hidden fees and no further charges, even if you have more questions down the road at a later time!Being God fearing people, we used to help everyone that called for free but that started to get overwhelming and took away too much time from our company, so we now charge a very small fee as you can see. I've now had several of my clients tell me that they spent $10,000-$12,000 with invention companies (who know little or nothing about the hunting industry) and wished that they had called me first as this was the information they really needed to move forward. We specialize in the hunting industry and have for the last 20 years. We know it inside and out! Experience matters!

We were proud to see 4 inventors that took the consultation at the 2012 ATA Trade show, bringing their invention to market! Good job guys!!!
